Service Description

The Vastu service I offer is for designing a home from scratch, rather than rectifying a Vastu issue with an existing house. I will work with you or your architect in the design phase to design a modern home with all the core Vastu principles in mind, before submission for the building permit. This involves ayadi, astakavarga and other jyotish calculations with all the birth charts of your family, to make sure that each member will be compatible with the new home. It is best to get us involved at the stage where you are shopping for property / land, and then we can work with you through the building permit stage. Selecting an appropriate plot of land for construction is just as, if not more important, than the home design. I will evaluate the plot and the surrounding area through whatever GIS or topographic maps are available, and make sure it is suitable for your family. Once the building permit is issued, I will find muhurtas for the bhumi puja which needs to be performed before the land gets excavated, and if there is an existing house on the property, after it has been demolished. This puja is a prayer to the Earth Mother to ask her permission to dig her in the construction process. Then once excavation is complete and footing construction has begun, there is a puja performed to lay the first foundation that will go underneath the main footings. It is a Panca Devata puja for the 4 corners and the front door for protection of the structure, praying to Lord Vishnu in the form of his tortoise avatar Kurma to uphold the structure and to protect the inhabitants. Since this work is quite variable and depends on how you as a client want us to be involved, we offer this service at $275 per hour and will send you an invoice monthly for the time worked.
